Warren Lodge garden supporting CHSW

Warren Lodge Garden in Mary Tavy near Tavistock will be welcoming people through it’s gates this summer in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).


The garden will be open on Sunday 6 June, Sunday 4 July and Sunday 1 August. Bookings are being taken for each day with arrival slots available at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.

Sisters’ litter pick helps village and children’s hospice

Two young sisters from Uffculme have been helping to look after the environment at the same time as raising money for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Lizzie Rock-Evans, age seven, and her sister Hannah, age five, did a sponsored litter pick for CHSW after learning more about the charity while donating a bag of items at the Tiverton charity shop.

Mum Sarah said: “They wanted to know more about what the shop was for and when I explained it was raising money for very poorly children they wanted to do something to help.

Little Leo’s big challenge for children’s hospice

An eight-year-old boy from Barnstaple has completed a marathon-sized fundraising challenge for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). 

Leo Withers ran the equivalent of 26.2 miles in 10 days after reading about the charity and how it helps local families in the North Devon Gazette.

The Fremington Primary School pupil started on May 1 and covered the distance with daily after-school runs near his home in Sticklepath, and in his garage on his dad Alex’s treadmill.
