Charlton Farm opened its doors in 2007 to provide a secluded and beautiful setting where families can take some time out and just enjoy spending time together. Within those 10 years around 362 families have been supported by the hospice.

As part of our 10th Birthday celebration, staff members have kindly shared why they love working at Children's Hospice South West. Lisa Cains has been a Children's Nurse at Charlton Farm for two years.

North West Bristol Friends Group celebrates 10 years

 

Bristol Group mark ten years of fundraising and volunteering for Charlton Farm

North West Bristol Friends Group was formed shortly before Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) Charlton Farm opened in April 2007 by members of the local community.

Its aim was to put on enjoyable, fun community events that would bring people together for a common cause. Over the past ten years the group has engaged in every type of community volunteering possible from bucket collections to village fetes, cake sells, music events and dinner parties.
