PGS Theatre Productions is proud to reflect on the extraordinary success of A Million Dreams that raised an incredible £3,400 for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW). The musical showcase was also held in loving memory of Oliver Brown.

This heartfelt production brought together a remarkable community of performers, creatives, musicians, and technical teams whose dedication and passion made the event truly unforgettable. Their collective efforts not only delivered an inspiring evening of musical theatre but also honoured Oliver’s life in a way that was both uplifting and deeply moving.

What began as a light hearted family challenge has grown into a huge fundraising effort in London’s Hyde Park all to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West.

PJ Sleep Joggers (PJSJ) is a London‑based group. Riley, one of the fundraisers, explains how the idea came about almost by accident:
“PJSJ actually started as a small challenge between family members, when one of us spontaneously challenged another to wake up at 6am and go for a run around a local park.”

Soon that early morning challenge quickly became a weekly event and turned into something more social and creative.

From April, the chain of 11 Wickwar pubs will be proudly supporting CHSW (Children’s Hospice South West) as their charity of the year. The partnership launched on 15 April, celebrating the community’s commitment to helping children and families supported by CHSW and planning for the year ahead.

The team from CHSW visited each of the 11 pubs on 7 April, capturing photos that have been compiled into a celebratory collage showcasing all the participating venues.

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is hosting an open garden at the historic Boconnoc Estate in Lostwithiel on Sunday 10 May, with all proceeds supporting the charity’s vital care.

Tom Luke is gearing up for an extraordinary challenge this April, combining endurance, determination and a deeply personal cause.

The Bristol-based athlete will be taking on the iconic London Marathon while raising funds for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW), a charity that provides vital care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. Tom is aiming to raise over £4,000.

On 8 May 2026, a determined team of over 20 staff from Charlton Farm will take on one of the UK’s toughest endurance challenges, the legendary Fan Dance in the Brecon Beacons.

This is no ordinary hike. The Fan Dance is a gruelling 15-mile (24 km) load-bearing march, famously used in the selection process for the UK’s Special Forces, 16 Air Assault Brigade’s Pathfinder Platoon, and British Infantry Officers. It is designed to push participants to their absolute physical and mental limits.

The changing of the captains at a golf club is always a special occasion, but this was also an opportunity for Oake Manor to help a good cause.

Through his year as men’s club captain, Richard Goodman has chosen to support Childrens Hospice South West and has managed to raise £51,784 for the charity.

A cheque was presented to them by Mr Goodman at an event where new captains for 2026 were crowned.

Jessie May, the Bristol-based children’s hospice at home charity, has announced it will join Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) with the merger expected to complete at the end of March 2026.

From 1st April 2026 Jessie May will become a subsidiary charity of Children’s Hospice South West.

The agreement brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families, at a time when children’s hospice services across the UK are facing increasing financial pressures.
