Steve Hindley

Steve is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Fellow of the Institution and has enjoyed more than 50years in the Construction Industry. Most recently Steve was Executive Chairman of The Midas Group, prior to which he held Senior Directorships and Leadership Positions within the Sector.

Outside of formal work he has Chaired the CBI South West Council, The CBI Construction Council and Devon Community Foundation.

Most recently he spent 6 years as Chair of the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership, the organisation tasked with promoting economic development in Devon and Somerset by combining the efforts of Public Authorities and The Private Sector in the area.

He was awarded a CBE in the 2006 New Years Honours List and was appointed a Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon in 2009, and so brings considerable knowledge of the local community to the charity.
