Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is excited to announce the opening of its new shop in the popular seaside town of Newquay.

The shop opened its doors to the public on Monday 27 July, and sits on the busy East Street in the town.

The Mayor of Newquay, Drew Creek, cut a green ribbon to officially mark the opening which was followed by words of appreciation from CHSW CEO, Phil Morris. 

The new shop has a range of goods on offer, including quality women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories, as well as children’s toys and games, books, media and bric-a-brac.

Jerome Browne, Area Retail Manager for CHSW, said: “We are delighted to have opened our newest shop here in Newquay. We aim to be at the heart of the town’s community while helping to raise vital funds for CHSW. 

Whatever way you can support us in the store, whether that’s shopping with us, by dropping off donations or even volunteering, you’ll be helping to local families. Little Harbour supports babies, children and young people from across Cornwall and Plymouth, so by shopping and donating good quality items you will be making such a difference to them, thank you.

CHSW is also on the hunt for some enthusiastic volunteers to help run the new shop. There’s a variety of tasks that volunteers can get involved with from processing donated stock, to window displays, dressing mannequins and taking payments. It’s a great way to meet other people and really help to make a difference in the local community.

Donations can be dropped off during opening hours; Mon - Sat 09.00am - 17.00pm, Sun 10.00am - 16.00pm.
