Team Agrii gear up for another Ride for Precious Lives challenge

08 June 2026 CHSW

A dedicated team of South West agronomists are gearing up to take on one of Children’s Hospice South West’s toughest and most inspiring challenges, as they once again join this year’s Ride for Precious Lives.

Mike, Andy, Brendon and Zak, who are all employed by UK company, Agrii, will be among more than 100 cyclists taking part in the annual sponsored cycling weekend, covering 200 miles while raising vital funds to support babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.

Brendon Moolman for Team Agrii said:
“Team Agrii have been involved in the CHSW ride for the last 4 years and it’s become something we really value being part of. There’s a real sense of camaraderie throughout the event, with everyone supporting and encouraging each other along the way. The challenge of the ride is nothing compared to the challenges faced by the families supported by Children’s Hospice South West, so we’re proud to do our bit to support such an important cause.”

Ride for Precious Lives

Ride for Precious Lives is CHSW’s flagship cycling event, covering more than 200 miles over 3 days. The route takes in all 3 of the charity’s hospices, beginning at Charlton Farm in North Somerset, stopping at Little Bridge House near Barnstaple and finishing at Little Harbour near St Austell on the third and final day.

Each day, riders take on between 70 and 80 miles on a route across the rising and falling landscape of the South West, making it a true test of endurance, determination and teamwork.

What makes the event especially meaningful is the connection riders have with the families supported by CHSW. Along the route, participants meet families, staff and fellow supporters, many of whom are also taking part, creating an incredibly supportive atmosphere.

Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, said:
“We’re so proud to have Team Agrii taking part in Ride for Precious Lives once again. Their continued commitment and support over the past 4 years truly means the world to us. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without teams like theirs, and the funds they raise make a real difference to the families we care for. We can’t thank them enough.”

With another challenging ride ahead, Team Agrii are once again showing their dedication not only to the sport, but to making a difference in their local community.
