The nation’s yogurt lovers have voted to support Children’s Hospice South West as their chosen charity with their Yeo Valley Organic tokens, raising a fantastic £1,500 towards hospice care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

A charity bike show has raised more than £1,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.

Scores of bike enthusiasts packed into St Peter’s Church, Lawrence Weston, Bristol, for the event – organised by the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) and now in its second year.

The family friendly show saw bikers from across the Bristol area as well as further afield showcase their machines and there were motorbike related stalls, face painting, a bouncy castle, barbecue and a café selling cakes and cream teas made by hospice volunteer Jenny Padfield.

A woman who set herself a walking challenge to raise money for the children’s hospice who cared for her schoolfriend has smashed her fundraising target.

Emma, 20, who suffers with chronic fatigue, walked the 13 miles from her home at Emerson’s Green, Bristol to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) in Wraxall. Emma, who has Myalagic Encephalomyelitis, broke up the journey into seven sections over 2024, completing the final mile this September.

Carlyon Bay Junior Golf Academy held a fundraising event in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The club held a charity Junior Open event on Sunday 21 July, and raised £1,031.12 for the charity. 78 young golfers took part, making it one of the largest Junior Open events in the South West. The golfers competed to win a fantastic prize fund thanks to the clubs generous sponsors, all while raising vital funds for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. 

To celebrate the life of a young boy, a gaming fundraiser; Noah’s Legacy Laps, has been organised in his memory. 

9 year old Noah was a keen gamer and avid watcher of YouTube with dreams of becoming a professional YouTuber. When he became unwell and developed life-limiting complications, his love of gaming lead him into an incredibly caring community of online friends.

An annual Rotary golf day has raised £1,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.

The event, organised by Weston-super-Mare Rotary Club, saw players take to the fairways to raise money for a range of charities. Since its inception, the event has raised more than £200,000 to enable the Rotary to continue its work in the local community.

Family and friends of a ‘happy and always smiling’ little girl are organising a special fun day – to raise money for the children’s hospice that supported her.

7-year-old Phoebe was first referred to Children’s Hospice South West’s Charlton Farm hospice in Wraxall when she was just 3 years-old. She was cared for by the team until she died.

Adam Wells, of Adam Wells Mortgages, set up his business in June this year, after working as a Mortgage Advisor since 2009. After meeting Children’s Hospice South West’s Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser Amanda Gallagher at a business networking event and visiting CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice in Wraxall, Adam decided he wanted to support the charity.
