Wickwar Pubs Partner with CHSW as Charity of the Year

16 April 2026 CHSW

From April, the chain of 11 Wickwar pubs will be proudly supporting CHSW (Children’s Hospice South West) as their charity of the year. The partnership launched on 15 April, celebrating the community’s commitment to helping children and families supported by CHSW and planning for the year ahead.

The team from CHSW visited each of the 11 pubs on 7 April, capturing photos that have been compiled into a celebratory collage showcasing all the participating venues.

Directors of Wickwar, Ian Frost and Mike Flavin added:

Our whole team at Wickwar is incredibly proud to be associated with CHSW and the amazing work they do.

"Every member of our team and wonderful customers are determined to do their very best to fundraise for the charity. We will also be reaching out to our suppliers, the wider community and friends to highlight the incredible services that CHSW provide. We hope that our collective efforts and initiatives will make a real difference in supporting the charity.”

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) provides expert care and support for babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions across the region. Its services include short breaks, specialist play, sibling support, and end-of-life care.

It costs almost £16 million to keep the 3 hospices open and provide vital care to families wherever they are across the South West, whilst also raising the funds to continue to be there for babies, children and young people and their families. Every contribution helps families access the care and support they need at their most challenging times.

"We are incredibly grateful to Wickwar for choosing CHSW as their charity of the year."

Their support will make a real difference to the children and families we care for, helping us provide vital services that simply wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our local community.

"We are so excited to build a partnership with the chain that put community at the heart of everything they do and can’t wait to get started!" said Amanda Gallagher, Corporate Fundraiser, CHSW.
