Unique Homestays and Children’s Hospice South West Celebrate a Remarkable First Year of Partnership

14 May 2026 CHSW

Luxury holiday home provider, Unique Homestays, and local charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) are celebrating the success of the first year of their partnership, marking a year of meaningful fundraising, community spirit and shared commitment to supporting families with life-limited children.

Unique Homestays offer a range of distinctive private homes throughout the South West and beyond. Since launching the partnership in early 2025, Unique Homestays has raised vital funds for CHSW through a range of initiatives, most notably the introduction of an optional donation at checkout for guests booking their distinctive private homes. This simple but powerful addition has enabled customers to contribute directly to the charity, helping to provide expert care and support to babies, children and young people and their families across the South West.

The company’s team has also embraced hands-on fundraising challenges, taking part in CHSW’s popular Santa’s on the Run events over the festive period and the vibrant Rainbow Run in the summer, both of which saw enthusiastic participation and strong support from staff and the wider community.

Amanda, Head of People at Unique Homestays said:

Our partnership with Children’s Hospice South West has brought out the very best in our team. From fundraising events to everyday guest contributions, there’s been a real sense of purpose and unity behind everything we’ve done. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that, together, we’re helping support families who need it most.

Children’s Hospice South West provides hospice care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, supporting the whole family through hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and bereavement services. Funds raised through partnerships such as this are vital in ensuring the charity can continue delivering its specialist care.

Looking ahead to the second year of the partnership, Unique Homestays is continuing its commitment with a series of activities. On Monday 11 May the team hosted a fundraising cream tea event, bringing supporters together for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon in aid of CHSW. Additionally, staff are already gearing up to once again take part in the colourful and energetic Rainbow Run in June.

Children’s Hospice South West also expressed their thanks, highlighting the importance of corporate partnerships in sustaining their care services.

“Support from organisations like Unique Homestays makes a real difference to the families we care for,” said Alice Merret, Area Fundraiser for CHSW.

Their creativity, enthusiasm and dedication over the past year has been wonderful to see, and we’re looking forward to continuing this journey together.

As the partnership enters its second year, both organisations are encouraging continued support, whether through guest donations, event participation or helping spread the word about the charity’s work.
