Tamar Performance Centre donation

Matt and Charlie from Tamar Performance Centre with their donation

The team from Tamar Performance Centre at Lifton have recently handed over a donation of £155 to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) following an Experience Day held at the centre.

Tamar Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art training facility and is home to an Endless Pool Elite, an indoor cycling zone and a strength and conditioning area. As well as fitness the centre also provides support with nutrition and has various levels of membership and services available for everyone from complete fitness novices to world record holders.

The centre held its Experience Day on 29th September as an opportunity for visitors to hear from experts including Sheep Shearing World Record holder Matt Smith, Run Analysis expert Lou Nicholettos and Dr Graham Johnson.

Alongside the talks and experiences that were running throughout the day a raffle was also organised to raise funds to be donated to CHSW.

Zoe Partridge, Community Fundraiser for CHSW collected the donation and said “We were delighted to hear that Matt and the team from Tamar Performance Centre had raised this money from the raffle on their Experience Day.

It is really lovely to hear when businesses such as this want to support a local charity like CHSW while also trying to build their business up.

The donation will help CHSW to continue offering short breaks and respite to children with complex medical conditions and their families from across Cornwall and Plymouth at its Little Harbour hospice in St Austell. Little Harbour also offers end of life care and bereavement support and is open 365 days a year.
