Save 30% on tickets for Moonlight Memory Walk Cornwall
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is holding its annual Moonlight Memory Walk at The Lost Gardens of Heligan on 8 November and is currently offering a 30% discount on tickets.
The event is taking place at the well-known Cornish gardens on Saturday 8 November, and tickets currently cost £10.50.
This discount is available until midday on Thursday 4 September. As well as the walk itself, included in the ticket price is a t-shirt, medal, goody bag, pasty and entry into Heligan on the evening.
This special, uplifting evening will give people the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones and includes a memory ceremony which takes place before the 4km walk in the calm and beauty of Heligan’s lit paths.
Along the route there will be special points to pause and reflect, whilst completing an activity to mark those being remembered, included in this will be a poignant one-minute silence.
Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser, is delighted to be bringing the event back to Heligan for the 4th year running:
We hope to welcome over 300 participants on the night, who will be able to walk alongside others and talk about fond memories of the family members, friends, work colleagues and pets being remembered with their names and photos being featured in the memory ceremony. We have groups and individuals taking part and we welcome anyone over the age of 12 to join us.
Walkers are asked to fundraise £60 in sponsorship in memory of their loved ones. Funds raised will help to ensure babies, children and young people from across Cornwall and Plymouth can access the care and support offered by Little Harbour children’s hospice, located just a few miles from Heligan in St Austell. Last year the event raised an incredible £32,000.
Little Harbour supports more than 130 families from across Cornwall and Plymouth through hospice days, hospice stays as well as home visits and virtual support. It costs around £4 million a year to run the hospice which relies almost entirely on voluntary donations.
