NRS Team Fundraises for Cuddle Bed at Little Bridge House
Following a staff vote, Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS), based at Hinkley Point A, has proudly chosen Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as its Charity of the Year. Setting an ambitious target of £15,500, the team set out to fund a much-needed Cuddle Bed for Little Bridge House, helping families stay close and comfortable during precious moments together.
Through a packed calendar of fundraising activities including a golf day, regular raffles, cake sales and fun team challenges such as the construction of a ‘human fruit machine’, the NRS team quickly reached their goal.
Debbie Birtwisle, Area Fundraiser for CHSW, attended a full team meeting to deliver a presentation on the difference their support will make for Little Bridge House families and to receive the generous cheque.
Debbie said:
This incredible effort will have a lasting impact for families at Little Bridge House. A Cuddle Bed allows children and their loved ones to rest together, creating comfort and precious memories at a difficult time. A huge thank you is extended to the whole NRS team for their kind donation and support, your commitment truly makes a difference.
Each year, through the generous support of corporate supporters, CHSW is able to continue to provide care and support to babies, children, young people and their families across the South West.
