New Children’s Hospice South West shop set to open in Bude

Help brighten lives by volunteering at one of our CHSW charity shops

A new Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) retail shop is set to open in Bude next month.

CHSW is to open a new retail shop in Princes Street on Friday, February 3 at 10.30am, which will be officially opened by CHSW’s co-founder and chief executive, Eddie Farwell.

The new shop will have something for everyone with a range of goods on offer, including books, clothing and accessories, as well as children’s toys and games, plus homewares and bric a brac.

Chris Judd, head of retail at CHSW, said:

“We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone through the doors of our Bude shop, and are already delighted by the warm reception we have had from the local community.”

CHSW is also on the hunt for some enthusiastic volunteers to help run the new shop. There are a variety of tasks that volunteers can get involved with from processing stock received from donations, to window displays, dressing mannequins and processing payments.

For anyone interested in finding out more about volunteering, the shop will be hosting volunteer open days on January 11 and 12 from 10am to 3.30pm — an informal opportunity to meet members of the shop team and find out more about how you can help to support the charity.

Alternatively, for further information, email volunteer@chsw.org.uk or call Stephanie Robey on 01271 313 319.

Stock donations to the new shop are very welcome and items can be dropped off at the shop from Monday 16 January, or alternatively to arrange collections of large items, call 01271 313 319.
