Last chance to save 20% on tickets for uplifting memory walk at Heligan
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is inviting supporters to take part in their annual Moonlight Memory Walk at The Lost Gardens of Heligan on Saturday 8 November. There’s still time to save 20% on tickets, but only until midday on Thursday 2 October.
Tickets are currently just £12, which includes your entry into the event as well as the event gets you; a t-shirt, medal, goody bag, pasty at the end of the walk and entry into Heligan.
This is a special event in the autumn calendar providing an opportunity to walk alongside friends, family or colleagues while remembering and celebrating the lives of loved ones in the peaceful surroundings of Heligan’s illuminated paths. The evening begins with a moving memory ceremony, followed by a 4km walk with reflective points along the route, including a poignant one-minute silence.
Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser, said:
It’s important to take time in our busy lives to remember our loved ones and we hope to welcome over 300 people on the night, walking together in memory of family members, friends, colleagues and pets. Names and photos of those being remembered will be featured in the memory ceremony, and we welcome anyone aged 12 and over to join us.
Walkers are encouraged to raise £60 in sponsorship to support the vital work of Little Harbour children’s hospice, which provides care to over 130 families across Cornwall and Plymouth. Last year’s event raised an incredible £32,000 helping CHSW continue offering hospice days, stays, home visits and virtual support.
