Hospice thanks local businesses for colourful community support

13 May 2026 CHSW

Representatives from 8 local businesses that are sponsoring Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) Rainbow Run, were invited to a special afternoon to thank them for their support.

Rainbow Run sponsor morning

Rainbow Run is making its annual return at RAF St Mawgan in Newquay this June and the headline sponsor of the event is Kernow Coatings; the market leader in high-performance coatings for the print industry. Joining as paint station sponsors are Steve Andrews Tyres, Biffa, Happy Days Nurseries, Moose Toys, St Ewe Eggs, Kelly's of Cornwall and Groundshore.

The business sponsors were all welcomed to RAF St Mawgan on 8 May for a dedicated event to thank them for their support ahead of the Rainbow Run in June. This was a special opportunity for the charity to show its appreciation and for a bereaved Mum to share why CHSW’s support is so important for families like hers.

Rainbow Run sponsor morning

The CHSW team are excited for the return of the Rainbow Run to RAF St Mawgan on Saturday 20 June and the support of these businesses means that even more of the money raised by those taking part in the event will be able to go directly to funding the vital care the charity provides. Last year the event raised £107,000.

Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser at CHSW said;

These 8 incredible businesses have a combined sponsorship of £15,500 which helps greatly in covering the cost of the event. Over 1,000 people have already signed up to take part and experience getting covered in powder paint, of all colours of the rainbow, while they walk, jog or run the flat 5km route.

CHSW provides hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their families at its 3 hospices across the south west including Little Harbour in St Austell.

The event is open to anyone over the age of 5 and tickets currently have 10% off until Tuesday 2 June, pricing at £18 for adults and £9 for children aged 5-15 years.

As well as making colourful, happy memories, you will be raising vital funds for CHSW. By taking part you are pledging to raise £35 as an individual or £93 as a family. All participants are asked to register here.
