Harry pedals his way to £560 donation

Harry raised £560 for CHSW cycling a mile everyday in November

8 year old Harry Crocker from Saltash spent the month of November cycling a mile every day, on a static bike, to raise money to help children and families supported by Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Harry decided to take on the challenge in memory of his nephew Isaac who died just 8 days old in September 2021. Harry was inspired by his older sister Sam; Isaac’s mum, who works as a carer on the team at Little Harbour and has been raising funds in Isaac’s memory for the hospice.

Harry initially set himself the target of raising £300 but absolutely blew this out of the park and managed to raise a staggering £560 for the charity which is close to his families heart.

“We are all so proud of Harry and the amount of money he raised!” said Harry’s mum Rachel.

Harry was invited to Little Harbour to handover the donation outside the hospice where he also received a medal and certificate for his fundraising.

Harry said; "I loved doing the challenge as I wanted to do something special in memory of Isaac,  it made me happy visiting the place the money is for. I would love to be able to go in and visit when it's allowed."

Bernadette Chambers, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said; “It was so inspiring to hear about the challenge Harry had set himself. We know how much fundraising in memory of Isaac means to Harry and his family and we are so grateful this money can go towards supporting local children and families at Little Harbour.”

Little Harbour offers care and support to families at the hospice as well as in their own homes and virtually. The team at Little Harbour are currently supporting over 148 families from across Cornwall and Plymouth and are a lifeline to families 24/7, 365 days a year.
