Cornish Crystal Rose Launched to Remember Loved Ones

Daniel with Amanda from Children's Hospice South West

A Cornish company has designed and is producing unique crystal roses which will be able to contain ashes of your loved one in the stem. At the recent launch of the crystal rose they also announced their support for a local children’s charity that will benefit every time a rose is sold.

Crystal rose on wooden plynthDaniel Rockall, of Cornish Crystal World, has spent the last eight years developing the Cornish Crystal Rose, a unique symbol of remembrance.  The Cornish Crystal Rose is handmade by experienced artisans in Cornwall and features a hollow glass stem into which a sample of your loved-ones’ ashes are sealed.
The Cornish Crystal Rose is a unique product and the only one on the market which seals the ashes permanently and safely into the stem without altering the structure of the ashes.

Cornish Crystal World have also chosen to support Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) with the Cornish Crystal Rose, donating a percentage from the sale of each rose sold to the charity which runs three children’s hospices in the south west including Little Harbour in St Austell.

Daniel, who has been glassblowing for 40 years, said

As a small local company, we wanted to help to support our own community and we are proud to announce that we are now working in partnership with Children’s Hospice South West in order to help raise funds for this amazing charity which does so much for sick children in our local area.

Each rose measures approximately 10 inches and will be packaged alongside a carved oak plinth for it to be displayed on and a plaque which can include the name of your loved one.
