Cathedral concert is on song for children’s hospice

Members of the Devon Philharmonic Orchestra present the money raised

A concert by the Devon Philharmonic Orchestra at Exeter Cathedral has raised £756.65 for Children’s Hospice South West.

The orchestra, formerly known as the EMG Symphony Orchestra, held a collection during the performance on November 2.

Audiences enjoyed an evening of classical music in the majestic surrounds of the cathedral, with conductor, Leo Geyer and soloist, Philippa Mo.

The performance featured Ligeti’s ‘Lontano’, Dvorak’s Violin Concerto and Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony.
