The role

Do you have an interest in fashion? Do you know your high street labels? Would you enjoy being part of a team?

By having volunteers supporting our shops we are able to process stock and rotate it on a weekly basis. We are looking for people to help maximise sales, increase donations and raise the profile of Children’s Hospice South West.

Tasks may include:

  • Selecting good quality clothing and accessories
  • Processing raw and seasonal stock
  • Ticketing and pricing garments and accessories
  • Steaming clothes (over 16's only)
  • Culling stock and replacing with new
  • Being an excellent ambassador for CHSW

What we're looking for?

No qualifications or experience needed but the following skills would be helpful:

  • Good customer service
  • Happy to be part of a team
  • Able to lift small bags
  • A helpful caring manner
  • Honest, reliable, trustworthy with a flexible approach
  • Respectful of others

Training

Full training will be given therefore no specific qualifications are needed.

It is entirely up to you how much time you want to give. You may choose to do a morning or afternoon, a full day, or a couple of shifts a week.

You will be volunteering with like-minded people, providing you with lots of social interaction, meeting new friends, learning new skills or using existing ones and gaining a new experience. You will receive regular updates from CHSW and be invited to open days and events. Above all you will be making a vital contribution to a much needed cause.
