Online sales of our music CD have now finished, we have limited stock available from our reception desk at each hospice site.

The 30 track CD illustrates the many ways that music therapy can be used to offer children and families a voice.

Tracks include pop classics, fabulous piano solos and eight original compositions, such as ‘Our Place’, which tells the story of how much Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) means to the siblings. In addition there are 11 sound bites, which provide brief snapshots of children improvising at the keyboard, on drums and making the most of computer music technology.

A beautiful booklet accompanies the CD to tell the stories behind the songs. Each CD costs £5.00 and all proceeds from the sale of this CD will go to CHSW.

Eddie Farwell, Co-Founder of CHSW, himself a bereaved parent, often used to sing to his two eldest children, Katie and Tom (pictured right).

Singing songs of Purcell, amongst others, would often settle them when they were hyperactive or restless.

The CD features Eddie’s personal choice, Purcell’s ‘If Music Be the Food of Love’, performed by world renowned countertenor, Iestyn Davies who illustrates Eddie's own story beautifully.
