Persimmon Homes Severn Valley’s charity golf day brings teams together to raise vital funds for local children's hospice
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has raised almost £14,000 for CHSW following its first charity golf day.
Held in July, the event brought together colleagues, customers, business partners and supporters for a day of golf, fundraising and fun, as part of the company's support for CHSW, its Charity of the Year for 2026.

The event aimed to raise £12,000, but thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, the final fundraising total reached almost £14,000.The golf day was made possible with the support of a number of local organisations and individuals. Bristol Beer Factory kindly donated refreshments for the event, while a photography student volunteered their time to capture photographs throughout the day.

A spokesperson for Persimmon Homes said:

Our employees selected Children’s Hospice South West as our Charity of the Year and our fundraising to date has exceeded our expectations.

We were delighted to raise such a fantastic amount from our Golf Day and we are incredibly grateful to our fantastic team of employees, subcontractors and supporters who made the day such a success.

It costs almost £16 million to keep the 3 hospices open and provide vital care to families wherever they are across the South West, whilst also raising the funds to continue to be there for babies, children and young people and their families. Every contribution helps families access the care and support they need at their most challenging times.
