Family funeral directors Forsey and Son, based in Glastonbury, have successfully completed their three-day Cycle & Stroll Challenge, raising over £2,500 for Children's Hospice South West and Dorothy House Hospice Care as part of their 80th anniversary celebrations.
The challenge saw members of the team travel between all 4 Forsey and Son branches, cycling and walking their way across Somerset over a total of 3 days. Starting in Doulting, they cycled to Somerton before walking on to Butleigh and finishing in Glastonbury, where they completed the final stretch through the town's High Street.
The event was organised to celebrate 80 years of supporting local families while giving something back to the community that has supported the family business since 1946.
Funds raised will be shared between Children's Hospice South West and Dorothy House Hospice Care, 2 charities that provide specialist care, comfort and support to families during some of life's most challenging times.
