To mark its 60th Anniversary, Highbridge Caravans has successfully completed an extraordinary challenge: a non-stop journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats in under 24 hours, raising over £11,000 of vital funds for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

The team completed the journey within the tight 24-hour window, celebrating not just a milestone anniversary, but the very best of British motorhome, caravan, and campervan manufacturing. Along the way, they also visited Highbridge Caravans’ two retail sites, symbolically connecting the company’s past, present, and future.

This remarkable feat wasn’t just about adventure—it was also about giving back. The journey raised over £11,000 for CHSW, a charity close to the company’s heart and particularly meaningful to Mrs Davies, the mother of one of Highbridge’s Directors, whose fundraising group has collectively raised an astonishing £170,000 for the hospice over the years.

A member of the team from Highbridge Caravan Centre added: “We are feeling a mix of excitement, pride, and pure relief as we finally reach the finish line."

It’s been an unforgettable 24 hours. We’re so proud to have achieved this challenge together and to have raised funds for such a great cause along the way.

Lucie Perryman, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said:

"The team at Highbridge Caravans are incredible. Their amazing fundraising will make a big difference to the families in our care, and we can’t thank them enough for doing this challenge in aid of CHSW."

The 2025 challenge also carried historical significance for the Highbridge team. Back in 1981, Gordon, a beloved Highbridge veteran of 50 years, undertook a similar non-stop drive from Land’s End to John O’Groats—this time towing a caravan behind his trusty Volvo. With little more than extra fuel cans rattling in the boot, Gordon and his team raised approximately £680 for St John Ambulance, a significant sum for the time.

This modern-day recreation of that legendary journey honoured Highbridge’s long-standing heritage while looking ahead to the next 60 years of British craftsmanship and adventure.

And the stakes? They couldn’t have been higher. With a playful nod to Scottish folklore, the team vowed that if they failed to finish within 24 hours, “Nessie” herself would claim her prize—an icy plunge into the depths of Loch Ness. Fortunately for our heroes, the monster went hungry.
