Join us for an uplifting evening in the beautiful surroundings of Powderham Castle, while supporting local families with every step
We invite you to join a brand-new event for our Devon children’s hospice, Little Bridge House, to remember your loved ones while walking a beautiful scenic route. Walk together with friends and family to remember those who are no longer with us. Lights will guide your way and there will be live music along the trail with spaces to pause and remember.
Due to the sensitive nature of this event, registration is open to any person aged 12 years or over. Unfortunately, due to limited space at the venue, only participants will be permitted entry on the evening and NO dogs are permitted to attend.

Rhiannon and her family were supported by Little Bridge House at the end of Fred's life
My son Fred passed away at 2 months old as, at birth, his brain was starved of oxygen, causing a significant brain injury and severe epilepsy. Little Bridge House provided hospice care for him, taking care of Fred during his end of life, and made a horrific situation as good as it could be. We are forever grateful for the memories we made, and the kindness shown to us.

Fundraising online
It’s the easiest way to get sponsored. Let everyone know why you’re taking part and update your page with photos and videos. Share your page on social media, WhatsApp and by email so your family and friends can sponsor you.
- £50 could contribute towards a supported hydrotherapy session helping to relax sore and tired bodies and muscles
- £70 could pay for an hour of care for a family at one of our 3 hospices
- £120 could pay for a day of specialised sibling support for a bereaved brother or sister
When you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome pack which has everything you need to know about fundraising, an “I am walking in memory of” sign, a candle bag to decorate and walker number. Our Fundraising Team will also give you a call and be on hand to help with ideas to boost your fundraising.

Make a dedication
A special added feature of this event is our dedication page where you can add your loved one's name, photo and a personal message.
You're welcome to set up more than one dedication for different loved ones, and their names will appear on this dedication page for you, your friends and family members to visit. There is also the added option to make a donation in their memory when you set this up.
If you do not wish to join us at Moonlight Memory Walk Devon, you are still welcome to add a dedication for your loved one and make a donation.

Venue
Powderham Castle, Powderham Estate, Exeter, EX6 8JQ
The evening begins at 5:15 pm when we invite you to join us at Powderham Castle to register and collect your T-shirt, and tealight to add to your candle bag. We recommend taking the candle bags with you on the route, to help light your way and to create a shining trail of lights reflecting your loved ones no longer with us.
After a short safety briefing, we will begin the 3k Moonlight Memory Walk.
Please note that only those registered for the event and showing a walker number will be able to gain access into the event village on the night. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted to attend. Don’t forget to bring with you a torch or headtorch, bottle of water, comfortable shoes, a warm coat and your fancy dress if you feel like dressing up!
Parking is available at Powderham Castle.
The terrain is on tracks which can be very uneven in many areas. Wheelchairs may require assistance.
