Exeter Live Better Marathon and Community 5 Mile 2025

Take part in the Exeter Live Better Marathon

The course is ideal for those competing for the first time as well as seasoned runners looking for a fast time. The event runs along a great, traffic-free, flat route along the footpath and cycle track of the River Exe and Exeter Canal.

Set in one of the South West’s most active cities, there will be plenty of beautiful locations to admire along the course, for both runners and those coming to support you along the way.

The race starts at 8:45am and is open to runners aged 18 years and over. The maximum time permitted for completing the distance is six hours, and there will be timed cut-off points along the route for runners unable to maintain the minimum expected pace.

Runners will not only leave with the pride of having completed a marathon, they’ll also receive an Exeter Live Better Marathon medal and finishers’ t-shirt!

Community 5 Mile 

Alongside the Marathon, a 5 mile event will also be held. The aim is always to encourage as many participants as is possible for the events and to cater for all abilities, this 5 mile run allows flourishing runners to take part and also some of our younger runners.

The route will take you along the Exeter Quayside, through the scenic Riverside Valley Park and back to the finish line at Haven Banks to pick up your medal.

The race starts at 9.00am and we welcome runners from age 15 plus.

If you have already bought a place for the Exeter Live Better Marathon and Community 5 Mile 2025, let us know. There is no minimum sponsorship required, we just ask you raise as much as you can to support the children and families currently being supported. We will send you a free CHSW running vest and fundraising pack as a part of Team CHSW and you will have support from your local fundraiser along the way.
