Back to the 90s Party

1. General

I, The primary entrant (or team captain), am responsible for providing the correct, required information for all participants entered within an online entry form. By agreeing to these terms as the primary entrant, I agree to the event terms and conditions on behalf of all participants entered within an online entry form. The primary entrant is anyone registering a participant other than or as well as themselves.

You must be aware that photographs and video footage taken during the event may be used to publicise this event and the work of the CHSW generally and may also be used by other charities as part of a franchise agreement.

 I am aware of the distance of this event and I confirm I am healthy and fit enough to take part. I agree that medical advice should be sought from my GP if I am in any doubt as to my physical ability to participate in this event.

CHSW cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to participant’s personal belongings, items of clothing, shoes, equipment or vehicles.

All participants taking part in an event do so at their own risk. In no event shall CHSW be liable for any injuries, loss or damages whatsoever, including indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential losses connected with any aspect of this event.

CHSW reserves the right to update their terms and conditions in relation to the event at any time or prior to the event day.

2. Booking Process, prices and payment

 I agree to receive emails, postal mail and texts regarding my participation in this event, including fundraising information, key event information and health and safety advice during the event itself.

 I agree that I have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship money collected in respect of my fundraising efforts is paid directly to CHSW within three months of the event day. If I am unable to take part in the event, all sponsorship money will be treated a donation, unless the donor requests the return of their sponsorship in which case individual donors must be contacted by the participant, who must then ask them to contact CHSW directly.

 Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) reserves the right to close registration when participant levels reach capacity.

3. Safety

 Any participant that acts negligently, maliciously, with wilful misconduct or otherwise without due care and attention for the event or other participants, to cause the participants removal from the event, will not be entitled to a refund. The event organiser reserves the right at any time to remove participants from the event.

 CHSW reserves the right to cancel individual registrations or refuse entry to individuals, should there be a just cause

4. Changes to the event and cancellation

 I am aware the organiser reserves the right to change the course distance, the event date, changes to the course, or make any other amendment to the event that they deem necessary to stage the event.  Any change to the event will be communicated to me as soon as possible. Should the event date be changed, your registration will be automatically transferred to the new date, of a refund offered on request.

 The event organiser reserves the right to alter the start time of the event. In the event of a change of start time the participants will be notified of the revised start time with as much notice as reasonably practicable. No refund or in part shall be made for any change in start time for an event provided the event takes place on the specified date of the event.

The event organiser reserves the right to amend the event format or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or for any safety related reason with no further liability whatsoever arising from such cancellation. In the event of cancellation the participant’s event fee will be treated as a donation, unless the participant requests a refund within seven days of the cancellation.

 In the unlikely event that CHSW has to cancel the event, all participants will automatically be refunded their registration fees, and any sponsorship money received by CHSW can be refunded on the request of the sponsor.

If you are unable to participate, in extenuating circumstances, on authorisation from the fundraising manager, CHSW will refund any monies relating to your registration fee, after a deduction of a £5 admin fee. Any documentation sent to you (i.e running number) must be returned before the refund is processed.

  • Cancellation

You understand that your registration fee is not refundable.

  • Minimum age

You confirm that you are the minimum age of 16 to host your own 90’s party.

  • Venue

You confirm that it is your responsibility to find a suitable venue to hold your 90’s party.

  • Fundraising

You confirm that all money raised for your Back to the 90’s Party will be made payable to Children’s Hospice South West.

  • Party pack – third party

You agree to Children’s Hospice South West storing and sharing your name and address provided to Party Pack to receive your party box.

  • Database

You agree to Children’s Hospice South West storing information that you provided on their database.  Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

  • Contact

By registering you agree for Children’s Hospice South West fundraising team to make contact by email and phone about your participation in the event you have registered for  (This is communicate essential event information only).

  • No party

If you do not host your party any money raised will be treated as a donation.

  • Legal fundraising

You agree to raise all money using legal methods.

  • Covid-19

You agree to follow the Government guidelines on Covid-19.

  • Legalities 

Each host is responsible for his/her actions, Children’s Hospice South West is not liable for any injury or accident, any loss or damage to property.

  • Food hygiene and alcohol

You are responsible for ensuring food hygiene and ensuring that you have the relevant licenses e.g. if selling alcohol at a venue.

  1. The promoter is Children’s Hospice South West, charity number 1003314 registered at Little Bridge House, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, 01271 325 270.
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16 and over except employees of Children’s Hospice South West and their close relatives and anyone connected with the judging of the competition.
  3. Once you have registered there is no entry fee and no purchase to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. To enter the competition, upload a group photo onto the Facebook event page there is no restriction to the amount of photos that you can post.
  6. Any photos deemed inappropriate by Children’s Hospice South West will be removed immediately and you will be prohibited from entering the competition.
  7. The closing date for the competition will be Sunday 19 September 2021 at midnight.  Any entries after this date will not be included.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
     
    1. Children’s Hospice South West reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Children’s Hospice South West’s control.  Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible on the Facebook event page.
       
    2. Children’s Hospice South West is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with the competition.
  10. The prize is as follows: inflatable chair and lava lamp.
  11. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.  The prizes are not transferrable.  Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  12. The winning group photo on the Facebook event page will be chosen by staff at Children’s Hospice South West.
  13. The winner will be notified by direct message on Facebook within 28 days of the closing date.  If the winner cannot be contacted and does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  14. Children’s Hospice South West will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected from.
  15. Children’s Hospice South West’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  17. The winner agrees to the use of his/her photo on the Facebook event page and any publicity material, as well as their entry.  Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with the current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  18. The winner’s name will be available 28 days after the closing date by emailing Amanda Masters
  19. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  20. Children’s Hospice South West’s photo decision is final.  No correspondence relating to this decision will be entered into.
  21. This promotion is in no way endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or any other social network.  You are providing your photo/information to Children’s Hospice South West and not to any other party.  The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy.
