We help to make the most of short and precious lives across the South West
For more than 30 years Children's Hospice South West has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions by providing hospice care and professional family support services. The care offered at each of our 3 hospices is not just about medical and nursing support for babies, children and young people but enriching the lives of them and their whole family.
The word charity only describes how this place is funded – not what it does. It is the primary service for ALL parents and carers of children with short lives. It is the helping hand for the worn out dad who lifts their child to bed every night, the entertainment committee for the siblings who never get a holiday, the steady voice on the phone for the weary mum with too many choices to make, the medical advice for your kids unique needs, and the ongoing hug for the grieving parent

Our purpose and vision
Our purpose is to make the most of short and precious lives and to put babies, children, young people and their families at the centre of all we do.
Our vision is to provide high quality care to every baby, child and young person in the South West who may not live to their 18th birthday.

Our 'green' ambition statement
At Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) it is our ambition to promote environmental sustainability within the charity with the aim of reducing our ecological footprint whilst maintaining the high level of care given to the Children and Families we support.
Balancing the reduction of our environmental impact with cost of doing so and protecting our income streams is essential in achieving our objectives.
We aim to measure our performance in this area and share our aims, challenges and achievements in the hope that this will promote staff satisfaction, aid recruitment and further CHSW’s reputation as a leader in our field.
