Counselling and emotional support
Confidential support for you and your children
Just like adults, children and young people who have lost someone important may find themselves struggling with a powerful range of emotions. Grieving children and young people may start behaving differently. Often there may be problems with school, sleep, feelings of anger and anxiety, and family relationships.
With support and information, children and young people can be helped to understand what has happened and can learn to live with their loss.
You helped in making our stays full of memories and after our daughter passed away you still take the time to send anniversary cards. It's lovely to receive them and you will always have a place in our hearts.
How our services work
All services are provided free of charge, and are not means-tested. Our services are available to all users of Children's Hospice South West. Referrals to any of our services can be made by professionals, family members, or by children and young people themselves. We will arrange an assessment with you where we can discuss the best form of support for your family.
We love you. We cannot do this without you, our journeys are hard, painful and there are lots of tears and happiness but whenever we need you you're there even if it's on the end of the phone.
