Ride for Precious Lives Events

Annually in July
Cornwall, Devon and North Somerset

Ride for Precious Lives has been suspended from 13:30 for the afternoon of Friday 10 July 2026

Why has the event been suspended?

We have been actively monitoring the weather forecast and put measures in place in preparation for any changes to the event. The safety of our participants, logistics providers, and event team is of the utmost importance. Due to a high temperature forecast on the afternoon of Friday 10 July 2026, we have sadly had to cancel the Friday afternoon leg of Ride for Precious Lives. The event will resume and continue as normal on Saturday 11 July 2026.

Advice for participants

  • All cyclists on Ride for Precious Lives must stop riding. Riders who continue to cycle after this time are doing so at their own risk and are no longer supported by the event
  • The logistics company ‘Arrowhead’ will withdraw support
  • Any riders who continue to cycle post this announcement and time are doing so unsupported and at their own risk
  • All cyclists taking part in the event have completed a waiver and were informed of high temperatures before the event taking place.

This unique event is aimed at cyclists who can commit to riding 70 to 80 miles each day on a route across the rising and falling landscape of the South West. Are you up for the challenge?

  • A fully supported weekend of cycling, camaraderie and friendship, hearing inspirational stories along the way that will power you up the steep slopes.
  • Whether you’re taking part solo or in a group, you’ll ride alongside 100+ cyclists, of all fitness levels, pedalling together to reach the finish line.

Aaron Bowen, returning Ride for Precious Lives participant:

My lead up and first day of riding was in all honesty very much a personal fitness / challenge. From that first evening it all changed and I was completely humbled and honestly slightly embarrassed that I'd taken such a selfish motivation. From that day on I rode it for the people I'd met and experienced, for the families that have been helped and that will be helped by the money and awareness we raise. I am so proud to be a part of such an incredible family
