Shaping the Future Together - VIRTUAL - 25 November

We’d love to invite you to attend one of 4 launch events for our Advisory Panels.

These events have been planned to support differing schedules and responsibilities, and whilst the structure of the events will be the same, each will have a different guest speaker, who will share how they have used their own experiences to help shape support for others.

  • Join this Teams meeting and use your voice and lived expereineces to help shape the future of CHSW
  • Each event will have a guest speaker who will share how they have used their own experiences to help shape support for others. There will also be workshops and group sessions with opportuities to feedback.

What is the Family Advisory Panel?

The purpose of these panels is simple: to give you a meaningful voice in shaping the future of children’s hospice care across the South West and to ensure EVERY child and family that wants support can receive it.

Whether it's influencing services, helping us think about new ideas, improving communication – we want your voice to be at the centre of decision-making, helping us to learn from the people who know best!

We also recognise that family life is busy, often unpredictable, and can sometimes feel overwhelming. Caring responsibilities, appointments, work, school, and everyday life already demand so much of your time and energy. The last thing we want is for this to feel like another thing we're asking you to do.

Instead, we want the Family Advisory Panels to be shaped around families, not the other way around. We're keen to create opportunities together for involvement that are flexible, accessible and respectful of the time people can realistically give.

Whether you can contribute regularly or occasionally, every voice and every perspective is valuable.

This is not about expecting more from families. It's about creating a space where those who want to share their experiences can help influence the future of services, ensuring that the support we provide continues to reflect the needs of the children, young people and families for many years to come.

As we begin this journey, we'd love your help in shaping what the Family Advisory Panel becomes. Together, we can build something that is meaningful, inclusive and genuinely impactful for families now and in the years ahead.
