Running miles to raise smiles
Introducing our special charity challenge, RUN Barnstaple Final Mile. Part of the RUN Barnstaple events on Sunday 29 September 2024.
We're calling on all young champions to embrace our RUN Barnstaple challenge – to run or walk 12 miles leading up to Sunday 29 September. Whether it's a mile a day, a week or a month, every step counts towards making a difference. This challenge culminates in the fun final mile on Sunday 29 September, alongside the final miles of the RUN Barnstaple Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10k races.
If you’re not able to do the full 12-mile challenge beforehand, don't worry! You can still be a part of the excitement by joining us for the final mile challenge on the day of RUN Barnstaple.

We will provide all fundraising materials that you need to help make your Final Mile challenge a success.
Can your team help fund 24-hour care in 2024?
- £70 could help to fund one hour of care at your local children’s hospice
- £150 could support a family through the early stages of their bereavement journey
- £320 could pay for a day of support and care in the family home for a child and their family
- £1,000 could pay for heat, light and power for 1 week at your local children’s hospice
