Mitchell Fruit Garden Open Day

On Sunday 17th August, 11am-3pm, nestled in the heart of Cornwall, just off the A30, Mitchell Fruit Garden will be opening in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

The garden is run by Kim Parish, an award-winning garden designer who hopes to establish Mitchel Fruit Garden as a cultural hub following the creation of a sub-tropical garden and sunflower field. Visitors are also welcome to enjoy a pick-your-own experience, where they can hand pick fruits and explore the flower picking garden.

During the day there will be talks from Kim Parish, on how to create a subtropical garden and from Kevin Smith of the Cornish Rose Company. The talks will take place at 12pm and 1.30pm and will be undercover so will be taking place no matter the weather.

Entry is £5 with 100% of the proceeds going to Children’s Hospice South West and there will also be an opportunity to purchase refreshments and plants with 10% kindly being donated to CHSW.
