Event organiser:
Third Party
An Olympic distance triathlon based at the beautiful, award-winning Putsborough Sands and taking place in some of the South West’s most stunning scenery.  This Olympic distance triathlon is a course to be reckoned with and certainly not for the faint hearted.

The challenging course includes a 1.5km ocean swim, 40km road bike and 12km off road run. Join us for one of the most fun and challenging events in the triathlon calendar.

Participants have the option of donating to CHSW when registering.

Race information

1.5km ocean swim along Putsborough beach, in the Atlantic ocean, marshalled by fully qualified lifeguards. Once out of the water there is a steep run back into transition.

40km road bike course: Starting above Putsborough beach, the route winds its way towards the historitc Pickwell Manor and up onto higher ground heading towards Ilfracombe. Heading through the Fullabrook Wind Farm with rolling hills and beautiful views, there is something to see at every turn and plenty of elevation to challenge all competitors.

12km off road run. Demanding, hilly and possibly muddy route (where you may encounter the odd sheep)! This is a fantastic run devised by local athletes to give you fabulous views of all three bays: Putsborough, Saunton and Croyde
