Yes, you can reserve a DVD of your jump for £140; photographs for £140; or a DVD and photograph package for £185.

Winners will be notified within 1 week of the draw date by telephone first, followed by email, where their details will be verified. Once verified a cheque is sent by post. Winning ticket numbers are also published on the CHSW website.

Absolutely! Whatever event you are taking part in we would love you to join Team CHSW. Phone your local hospice or email event@chsw.org.uk and we'll send you a fundraising pack and CHSW running top.

This isn't a race and is more about having fun than setting a personal best. Take your time and enjoy the surprises we have planned along the route. But if you must, you can time your run with your own device. There are no prizes for finishing first at this run!

We understand that you may want to leave a gift to a project close to your heart - and you're entitled to do this. However, we encourage gifts left to us to be unrestricted. We're then free to use the money where it is most needed at the time.

Yes, all participants running the full marathon need to be 18 or older.  All participants running the half marathon need to be 17 or older.  10K participants must be 15 or older.

Each final mile participant will need to have a parent/guardian or teacher with them

We suggest that the best way to complete the obstacle inflatables is to crawl across them to avoid falling and breaking any bones or twisting little ankles. There will be marshals at each inflatable to ensure all participants are crossing the inflatables safely and to stagger the number of participants on the inflatable at any one time.

Between April 2022 and March 2023, an average of 56p in every £1 went directly to fund care for children, young people and families. 9p was used to fund prizes and 35p covered the cost of running the lottery and the recruitment of new players.

Own place refers to a runner obtaining their own place in an event (eg. purchasing your race place directly with the race organisers). And of course we would love you to use your place to run for CHSW.

Yes- we ask you register yourself and the members of your group who are taking part as we are limiting places at the event venues. Only children aged 5 and over can take part in this event. We are not accepting on-the-day sign-ups. Register early for a discount on our full-price tickets.

In the UK, inheritance tax is currently paid to the government at a rate of 40% if your estate is worth more than £325,000. However, the rate might be reduced to 36% if 10% or more of your estate is left to charity.

Most gifts left to Children's Hospice South West are exempt from inheritance tax because we are a charity. You can find out more by contacting HMRC or a solicitor.

To claim Gift Aid on your fundraising, we must have the first name or initials, last name, full home address and postcode of each individual donor/sponsor. So please encourage them to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsorship form when they sponsor you. Without these details we legally can't claim Gift Aid - so be strict with your supporters!

CHSW operates a Sibling Service at each hospice, providing dedicated support and care to the brothers and sisters of life-limited children.

During family stays, the siblings can spend as much or as little time as needed with a devoted sibling team. Contact is maintained with the siblings during their time at the hospice, between visits with newsletters, emails and days out and after their brother or sister’s death, for as long as they need.

The race pack containing your race number will be sent by the event organisers. Please visit the FAQs section on the event organiser’s website for more details. We'll send a separate race pack containing your CHSW running vest, if you have given us your size.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take registrations on the night. You must sign up online before the registration closing date in order to take part in the event.

Moonlight Memory Walk Cornwall

Moonlight Memory Walk Devon

After signing-in on the day, you will be  taken over as a group to go through an abseil demo - a chance for you to have a go on a grass slope first and have a few practices with an instructor on hand who provides coaching and helps deal with any questions that you might have. So there is no need to worry about previous experience. Even if you let go of the abseil rope during the abseil an instructor at the top will have you on a separate safety rope so you are completely safe throughout your challenge.

There will be around five staff on the day to help you with your abseil including an instructor half way down the abseil to encourage you down and to take action shot photos of you and another instructor at the bottom of the abseil as a friendly face to greet and help you sort out your kit.

You are very well looked after throughout the event and there is plenty of time to have practice abseiling and enjoy the wonderful grounds in which the event is staged.

Unfortunately, if the back marshal has already left you will be unable to take part in the walk for health and safety reasons.

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This cancellation period will expire 14 days after the day on which you (or the person you nominate) received the goods, or received the final item from an order for several items. To exercise your right to cancel you must inform us in a clear statement sent by post or email to the address below.

Children's Hospice South West, Little Bridge House, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 2PZ

If you cancel this contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery only. We may make a deduction for the loss in value of the goods, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the refund as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days from the day you return any goods, or provide evidence of return. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

We will make the refund using the same means of payment that you used for the initial purchase unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.

You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

Returned goods should be in perfect condition to obtain the full refund and we ask that you arrange and pay for return postage (unless the goods are faulty). If goods are faulty you can request a replacement instead of a refund.

Charitable donations made with an order cannot be refunded.

To show us and your supporters you have completed your splash, we recommend adding all offline donations to your JustGiving, which will track your online donations. We'd also love to see photos of your challenge so please add them to your page!  You can also share this on the  Be Incredible Facebook page so we can see your incredible efforts!

We have a team of fundraisers here at CHSW  who are on hand to offer you any ideas and advice you may need. Our first tip would be to set up an online fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving, and then to investigate whether your company or any local businesses will be able to support you.

Yes, but only a small one. Your employer will use a Payroll Giving Agent (like a charity bank) to distribute the donations that you and your colleagues make. The Payroll Giving Agents are charities that need to make a small charge to cover their operating costs. Some employers pay this fee on your behalf so we receive your full donation.

If your employer doesn’t pay the fee, the Payroll Giving Agent will deduct it from your donation before passing it on to us. This will be between 2% and 4%. This compares favourably against the admin costs of claiming Gift Aid on a Direct Debit donation.

There are lots of ways to pay in your sponsorship.

We recommend you do not send any cash in the post. Please pay the money raised into your bank account and then make a donation on our online donation page.

You can send your sponsor forms and a cheque to your local hospice:

Little Bridge House

CHSW, Little Bridge House, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 2PZ

Little Harbour

CHSW, Little Harbour, Porthpean Road, Porthpean, St Austell, Cornwall, PL26 6AZ

Charlton Farm

CHSW, Charlton Farm, Charlton Drive, Wraxall, North Somerset, BS48 1PE

You can also add any offline sponsorship to your online Just Giving page that you may have set up. You can bank the money you have collected and then may a payment onto your own donation page. All money raised on an online giving page automatically is sent through to us, so you do not have to do a thing!

Children's Hospice South West can only directly claim back at the basic rate but please complete and return the declaration.

As a higher rate taxpayer, if you declare your donations on your tax return, you can claim a rebate based on the difference between the higher rate and the basic rate when you fill in your self-assessment form.

Yes, setting up a gift online is also completely safe. Any personal information you enter onto our online Direct Debit pages (including, name, address and bank account details) is encrypted before being sent to us.

Your information is saved in a secure environment using industry standard practices. You are then covered by the Direct Debit guarantee. We will write to you to confirm the details of your gift, and give you at least 21 days before taking the first payment. You can amend or cancel at any time.

You can create a Just Giving page, personalise it with a photo and share it with friends and family by message, email or on social media. They can donate quickly and securely online. You can also download a sponsor form so you can do it the old fashioned way if you prefer!

Our overseas adventures are all run by tour operators on our behalf, as the tour operators have the experience, insurance and ATOL protection necessary to run these kinds of challenges. Therefore, registration fees should be sent directly to the appropriate tour operator when you complete your booking form.

Please note also, that the terms and conditions of your booking are with the tour operator rather than with Children’s Hospice South West - we will only stipulate fundraising terms and conditions, and do not have any control over insurance, travel arrangements or anything else to do with the trip itself. If you would like more information about this, then just get in touch.

Yes you need to have a Discus account and in order to leave a comment you will be required to login. You can login using your social media or Disqus accounts.

Your registration fee covers the cost of putting on the event, a festive treat and medal. As we do not provide Santa suits, we have reduced the registraion fee from previous years.

As this is a sponsored event, we ask that you try to raise sponsorship to support the vital care Children’s Hospice South West provides. The suggested sponsorship is £25 per person.

Rainbow Run is a 5k fun run event with a difference! There’s no prizes for being the first to cross the finish line, this event is all about making memories with your friends and family whilst raising money for Children's Hospice South West.

Along the route you can walk, jog, run or even skip your way through paint stations where marshals will shower you with bright powder paints. Creating the most amazing, vivid colour explosion you'll ever see so when you finish you'll be well and truly rainbowed!

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows charities to reclaim the tax on your donations. This means that every £10 donation you give under the Gift Aid scheme is worth £12.50 to CHSW - at no extra cost to you.

As all teenagers wish to be independent, the hospice also holds teenage focused weekends, giving them the opportunity to come and stay without their families.

Three different weekends are arranged each year, plus one sensory teenage week. The weekends are often themed to suit varied interests including pamper days, cars and games.

It gives the teenagers the chance to socialise with others and time to talk about their experiences.

Unfortunately, we're only a small team and can't get to every event our supporters take part in. If we're attending the event, we'll let you know where we'll be on the day, six weeks before event day. Your friends and family are welcome to join us!

Many cyclists choose to travel by train, we recommend you book early as spaces with bikes are limited and book up quickly.

Canonteign Falls is a tough abseil and you will need to be fit and reasonably confident on your feet to be able to get to the top of the abseil and climb over the fence at the top. If you have any doubt in your ability to take part in the abseil please discuss this with your event organisers.

Being able to walk quickly up a flight of stairs, jump a foot off the ground and climb over obstacles such as fences unaided, would be a good example of mobility needed. If you are in any doubt about your fitness / mobility to participate in abseil event you have chosen, please consult the abseil organisers first and then your doctor if needed.

Please read our Moonlight Memory Walk participant safety brief to ensure you are fit to take part in this event and conditions of walking on the evening.

Regular play winners will be notified by their preferred method of contact and a cheque sent by post. One-off play ticket winners will need to contact the Lottery Team on 01271 313 311 where their tickets and details will be verified. Once verified a cheque is sent by post. Weekly winning numbers are also published on the CHSW website.

It is not usually commercially viable for most shop teams to collect donations from your home. However, collections can sometimes be arranged locally, so it's worth asking your local shop (contact details can be found on our Shopfinder). Our furniture shops (which you can also find through our Shopfinder) sometimes offer a local collection service.

Yes - we promote the events run by our preferred tour operators. Those tour operators will run several events a year, according to their own schedules. You can login using your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account by selecting the desired login option under the Login menu or by clicking the corresponding icon. Please note that a pop-up window will appear when attempting to login. We no longer provide Santa suits as a part of the registration fee to reduce the impact of single-use Santa suits on the environment, with many suits ending up in landfill each year. We have reduced the entry fee to reflect this change.

We also want to give our participants the opportunity to choose whether they want to dress as Santa, a reindeer, penguin, snowman, Christmas tree, or elf....this year you can decide! There will be on the day competitions for the best dressed!

Our hospice teams have engaging and challenging activities for corporate teams. If you're interested in volunteering in a group as part of your company's corporate social responsibility programme, please contact your local corporate fundraiser or complete our enquiry form.

You will need to be 18 years at the time of the event to be able to take part.

The Colour Craze is a brand new fun 5k that you can walk, jog or run! It is not about speed, it’s about having fun and enjoying becoming a kaleidoscope of colour!

Participants run or walk the course which will comprise of two Bubble Stations each with a different coloured foam, two multi coloured paint stations and six different shaped inflatables. When you reach the bubble station the Bubble Commandos will spray copious amounts of foam at you, when you reach the paint stations, paint throwers will shower you in an array of coloured powder! To make the course eve more fun, you will have to scramble your way through six different inflatable obstacles!

The course is a 2.5K circular route and you will have the option to complete the course once or twice to get double the explosion of colour to complete a full 5k!

A tandem skydive is an easy and enjoyable way to experience the thrills of skydiving.  Once aboard the aircraft, you will be securely harnessed to your Instructor as you ride up to your chosen altitude.  The aircraft takes approximately 10 minutes to climb to 15,000ft, giving you time to take in the views.  Once at altitude, you will get the green light for GO!

During freefall, you will experience speeds of approximately 120mph for up to a minute, falling around 2 miles.  As the canopy opens, you will be aware of the sudden tranquillity as your speed dramatically decreases.  This allows you to talk with your Instructor, take in the expansive scenery during the 5 minute parachute ride, and land safely after helping your Instructor to steer the parachute around the sky before gliding back to the airfield.

Unfortunately we cannot claim Gift Aid on funds raised through the raffle, but if you choose to make a donation with your ticket purchase, we can claim Gift Aid on that.

Absolutely! Whatever event you are taking part in we would love you to join Team CHSW. Phone your local hospice or email event@chsw.org.uk and we'll send you a fundraising pack and CHSW running top.

Unfortunately, if the back marshal has already departed you will be unable to take part in the run for health and safety reasons. So please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to register and attend the warm up and safety briefing.

If there is space at a following wave time at the Eden Project, we may potentially be able to move your space onto the next wave.

We will provide any training that is necessary.

Unfortunately, the route is not wheelchair accessible.

Well there’s lots going on after you pick up your medal. Hang around and soak up the atmosphere and watch your fellow Colour Crazers!

There will be a DJ entertaining you with music and food stalls to refuel after your energetic run and even more bouncy castles and stalls to keep you and the children entertained!

A computerised randomly selected weekly draw takes place every Friday. Should the Friday fall on a bank holiday, the draw will be run  the day before or the next working day.

No. Only fill out the own place running form if you have already purchased a place from the event organisers.

If you are taking part virtually you can post your pictures in either our Rainbow Run Cornwall or Rainbow Run Devon Facebook pages or post into our Be Incredible group.

We can't wait to make rainbows across the South West.

Not at all, you can walk or run the 5K route as it is not about speed but more about having as much fun as possible! The race is not timed, so the more competitive Rainbow Runners amongst you should self-time for anyone desiring a personal best.

Thank you so much for raising money for Children’s Hospice South West, we really appreciate your support! Please send us a cheque made payable to CHSW to: Children’s Hospice South West, Little Bridge House, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 2PZ.

It would be great if you could also let us know how you raised the money (and be sure to include your name and address so that we can send you a thank you letter!).

You can decide to compete your run where you feel it will be most fun! You can complete it around your own home or whilst out on your daily exercise - it is your run, your way!

We ask you ensure you complete it keeping to government guidelines and in a space with keeps to social distancing of 2 metres away from the general public.

You have the option to stay with your child or the opportunity to leave your child at the hospice whilst going away for a break.

You can set up a team fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving following the steps on their website. We recommend that you set up an individual page which links to this team page so we can clearly identify any funds that have been raised on your behalf.

Your bike will be your best friend during the 3 long days of cycling - we strongly advise that you use a road bike as they will help you go faster and will be more comfortable. When choosing which bike to use remember the terrain, you may wish to leave the carbon wheels at home! You can complete the ride on a hybrid or mountain bike but these will be slower and you must have slick road tyres and inflate them to the highest possible pressure. Electric bikes are not permitted.

Yes, as long as you are all registered to do the abseil on the same date.  Please state your preferred abseil times when you register and we will try our very best to get you abseiling in the same group.

Yes we can. Every time we sell something belonging to you, we can raise 25% more from the government through Gift Aid - at no cost to you.

Find out more about Gift Aid.

Yes please. We would like you to let us know that you (and any members of your school or swimming group) are taking part so we know how many of you wonderful people are supporting CHSW, ensure you receive information relative to the event and support with your fundraising.

Explain to potential supporters that you are taking part in a challenge (similar to a marathon or any other sponsored event) and that it will require dedication, commitment and training to raise money and to complete the trip.  The more you talk about the charity, the more they will realise how important your hard work is. You could always choose to pay towards the costs of the event yourself, so you can reassure your sponsors that 100% of their donation will benefit Children’s Hospice South West.

If you are a 40% or 45% taxpayer, Payroll Giving is the only way we can automatically receive all your tax on a donation. You will receive tax relief at the highest rate of tax you pay; so each pound you give, will only cost you 60p.

You will find the links to the Zoom warm up for both days on our Facebook event page. Please join the page to also upload your photos and videos to enter our competitions!

Don’t forget you can download the playlists we have created to use throughout the weekend for your warm up, run or after party.

If you pay a lower rate (10 per cent or 20 per cent), Children's Hospice South West can still claim back 25p for each £1 you donate, provided you pay enough tax to cover the claim in the tax year you make the gift(s).

CHSW is unable to support individuals requiring visas to volunteer in the UK as we do not have a sponsorship licence.

The cost of each CHSW Raffle ticket is £1. Each ticket has a unique number. There is a minimum purchase of 5 tickets and a maximum of 200 tickets per CHSW Raffle.
