Outlet shopping village offers support for children's hospice in 2023
Affinity Devon has announced Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as its chosen charity for 2023.
The outlet shopping village in Clovelly Road, Bideford, is planning fundraising events throughout the year and will have donation boxes in stores for anyone who would like to support the charity, which runs the Little Bridge House children’s hospice in nearby Fremington.
Affinity Devon's Operations Manager, Craig Hill, said: “We’re delighted to CHSW as our charity of the year. Although already a well-established charity, the support required to keep this fantastic service going is ever growing so we hope we can provide them with a platform to raise vital funds for those families in need”.

For more than 30 years, CHSW has been dedicated to helping local families make the most of short and precious lives, with a range of free services, all available 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year.
Support for the whole family includes short breaks; specialist medical, palliative, emergency and end-of-life care; specialist play and music therapy; activities for siblings; and bereavement support. During the pandemic, the charity adapted its care model to extend support to families’ own homes. 
The charity needs around £11m a year to run its three children’s hospices – Little Bridge House in Fremington, Charlton Farm near Bristol and Little Harbour in St Austell – and around 85 per cent is raised through voluntary donations.

The money raised this year by businesses at the centre and their customers will help our Little Bridge House children’s hospice in Fremington provide vital care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
