Wing Walk Dunkeswell

Challenge yourself with a wing walk in 2024

Join Team CHSW and take to the skies above Honiton to raise smiles for children and young people living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

Imagine the feeling of the wind in your hair as you travel up to 100 mph atop a biplane. Taking on sharp turns and low dives while safely strapped to the top of the plane’s wings, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is the ultimate thrill.

Book your place today

It's time to make a difference. Choose to take part on a date of your choice.

Wing walking dates back to the 1920s, it was once the ultimate stunt performed by aerial acrobats but now you can have the chance to experience this high-flying thrill for yourself! View the beautiful surroundings of Devon from this unique perspective, all while raising vital funds for local children, young people and their families.

You can book your Wing Walk on a date of your choice. Our charity-funded place Wing Walk participants are asked to pay a £100 non-refundable deposit paid to Wing Walk Buzz when booking and to raise a minimum sponsorship of £599 before your Wing Walk date to confirm your place - this includes the cost of your Wing Walk.

Our charity-funded place Wing Walk participants are asked to pay a £100 non-refundable deposit paid to Wing Walk Buzz when booking and to raise a minimum sponsorship of £599 before your Wing Walk date to confirm your place. This is broken down as:

• £199 balance of the cost of your Wing Walk. If this is raised via your sponsor form, you will need to pay Wing Walk Buzz direct before your Wing Walk. If this is raised through your online fundraising page, it can be arranged for Wing Walk Buzz to invoice CHSW for this amount

• £400 plus any additional fundraising before or after your Wing Walk will go to Children’s Hospice South West to care for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

As your sponsorship is paying towards the charity-funded Wing Walk, you will need to be transparent with your donors. We are unable to claim Gift Aid on the first £599 raised towards your Wing Walk. Therefore, to make things simple we advise the following:

• When setting up your online fundraising page please do not allow Gift Aid to be claimed

• Do not allow donors on your sponsorship form to tick the Gift Aid box

• Add this clear statement to your online giving page and sponsorship form: £199 of the sponsorship raised will be funding the Wing Walk and the remaining sponsorship will support care at
