This year Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is celebrating 10 years of providing care and support to local families at its Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell.
Little Harbour opened its doors in December 2011 following the success of the Precious Lives Appeal which saw £5 million raised by the local community in just four years to fund the build of the hospice on land at Porthpean which was kindly donated by local farming couple; the Late Howard and Shirley Rosevear.
‘The Tavistock Pop-Up School Shop’ has recently donated a further £3299 to both Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) and The Primrose Foundation, following another busy few months of donations and sales in the shop.
The Cornish Hamper Store, proud retailers of hampers sent nationwide full to the brim of Cornish goodies, are going to be supporting Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) this autumn.
The Cornish Hamper Store, based in Redruth, will be donating 50p to CHSW which runs Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell from the sale of each cream tea hamper that is ordered between 26 September and 10 October.
Organisers of an event held at Truro Golf Club in July have recently been able to donate to two charities supporting children and young people.

More than 20 local residents made their donation to CHSW and then got very creative with their entries into the Freathy Scarecrow competition which saw everything from scarecrow mermaids, surfers and lifeguards proudly displayed.

We thank Her Majesty for her wonderful service to so many, for so long. And though our hearts are heavy, we hold dear our precious memories of a remarkable monarch who gave so much to our nation.

Hundreds of Minis were out in force in North Devon at the weekend, raising thousands of pounds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

A fundraising event held recently in memory of Ben Pinkham raised £2680 for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) which runs Little Harbour children's hospice in St Austell.
Ben, a keen footballer for Saltash United, died tragically in 2003 when he was just 21, the fundraiser was organised to mark what would have been Ben’s 40th birthday year.
