Search continues for owner of £1,000 winning lottery ticket

Could it be you? Wadebridge Children’s Hospice South West shop manager Kirstie Madden and shop volunteers Julian Collinson, Danielle Broad and Debbie Chantler are still on the lookout for the owner of a winning lottery ticket bought in their shop.

The search is still on for the mystery winner of a £1,000 lottery ticket bought in Wadebridge.

The lucky Children’s Hospice South West lottery ticket was bought in the charity’s Molesworth Street shop on October 9 but has not been claimed since the draw on October 12.

Shop manger Kirstie Madden said: “The team and I have been asking everyone coming into the shop to check their tickets.

“We know exactly when it was sold because one of my volunteers had purchased the ticket prior to the winning ticket, but we are still none the wiser.

We really hope we can find the winner – it’s the talk of the town!

The shop, which celebrated its fifth birthday at the weekend, has also been sharing the news on social media in a bid to track down the winner, but sadly to no avail.

“It may have been a holiday maker who might have forgotten about it,” added Kirstie.

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) lottery officer Stephanie Charles said the owner of the wining £1,000 ticket – number 500401 – should call the Lottery Helpline on 08456 888 911 to claim their prize.

She said: “We’d love to be able to find our winner and let them know.

It will make a great early Christmas present for someone!

“Any prize money not claimed within three months of the draw date is donated directly back to the charity,” added Stephanie.

The CHSW weekly lottery draw offers the chance to win one of 14 weekly prizes, including a top prize of £1,000. There is also the chance to win a bonus rollover, which can reach up to £10,000 and currently stands at £2,600.

Tickets can be bought in any of the charity’s 30 shops around the South West and people can also play weekly by standing order.

Lottery gift subscriptions are also available, with 70p from every £1 ticket going directly to support the charity’s three children’s hospices in St Austell, Barnstaple and Bristol.
