Volunteer roles

There are many ways you can get involved and volunteer your time at your local CHSW hospice. Tasks can be varied, according to our needs and your skills and experience. Roles can include up-keeping our gardens for our families to enjoy, assisting our fundraising team or help facilitate with organised outings by driving our vehicles.

Retail Volunteer Roles

We could not run our 38 charity shops without our amazing Retail Volunteers. From back-office processing of stock, steaming garments and labelling items, to on the shop floor helping to rotate stock and operate the till, CHSW depends on the kindness and support of volunteers willing to give up their time to help in our shops. Take a look at our current retail volunteer roles, and please get in touch if any of our opportunities are of interest.

Fundraising Volunteer Roles

As a fundraising volunteer, you will experience how the CHSW team raise vital funds at a grass-roots level up to our mass participation events. Whether you are interested in starting or joining a local friends group or helping to raise awareness of the charity in your local community, we have a fundraising volunteer opportunity for you.

Hospice Volunteer Roles

Our hospice volunteers are our stars. Their support makes a world of difference to our families. From being a friendly face when serving a hot meal to a family at dinner time to keeping our sensory gardens and play areas clean and tidy for the children and young people that use our hospices, our hospice volunteers give their time in the heart of CHSW.
