Join the seventh Hartland Hartbreaker in 2021!

Registration opens on 1 January 2021

The Hartland Hartbreaker is a tough 9 or 18 mile run through Devonshire coast paths, trails and stunning bluebell fields. This is an epic adventure that will take you through pleasure and pain and into the heaven of Devon.

In previous years runners encountered sections of exposed cliff tops, muddy tracks, uneven paths, long sections off path with no discernible route, and river crossings. However this year’s route may change slightly but is still aiming to be just as tough, if not tougher!

Important

There is a strict limit of 300 runners.  No entries on the day under any circumstances.

The route

The Hartland Hartbreaker is a tough 18 mile off road, multi terrain running race. It is not for the faint-harted! You will encounter sections of exposed cliff tops, muddy tracks, uneven paths, long sections off path with no discernible route, river crossings, steep, slippery difficult sections (some with ropes) and generally a real tough, long and challenging run. There are some sections of road, but we have deliberately avoided them wherever possible. Do not sign up for this event if you are not confident off road. There are very exposed sections of cliff top with no fences or barriers and the route goes very close to extremely high drops.

Large sections of this course are on private land - do not attempt to run on this route prior to the event.
