Welcome to Stephanie's fundraising page
Update 24.09.10:
Thank you all so much for your amazing generosity! In total i have been able to raise over £700, which will significantly help the Precious Lives and its beneficiaries. As promised, for embarassing pictures and footage of the event, please visit this link http://www.lesw.co.uk/skydivechallenge2010/
Charity Skydive Challenge 2010 - 11th September 2010, Perranporth, Cornwall.
I will be leaping from a plane at a height of 10,000 feet and travelling at a speed of approximately 120mph for almost 1 mile!...
However of course I am not doing this for the sheer fun of it (eek!).
On behalf of Enact Energy and the Green Project, all money that I raise will go straight to the Precious Lives Appeal, in support of their goal to raise money to build the first children’s hospice in Cornwall, the Little Harbour in St Austell.
MORE ABOUT CHILDREN'S HOSPICE SOUTH WEST - and why I have signed up to jump!
Children’s Hospice South West help and support children and their families who are living with life-limiting conditions. They are the only organisation in the South West to provide vital hospice care to these families, and are here for families day and night throughout the year.
There are over 1000 children who could benefit from their care, yet they are only able to provide care for up to 400 families. Of these, some go the Children's Hopsice South West for palliative care, some for emergency care and many for planned respite and a rare opportunity for a break.
But there’s more to it than that. They provide a loving and caring place for every member of every family who stays with them; a sanctuary for mums and dads, brothers and sisters. A place where everyone can begin to forget their worries for a while, be a family again and find expert help and support in facing an uncertain future.
