Facilities

Little Bridge House is a beautiful and homely brick built building with peaceful gardens which wrap around the side of the house providing plenty of areas to play and enjoy the sunshine (when it does eventually shine!)

Families staying at Little Bridge House can enjoy the glorious North Devon Coast, and all that it has to offer. The old market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford are near by, and whilst the house is on the outskirts of a small town, our next door neighbours are the cows and sheep.

The house itself has a variety of rooms for our families to enjoy.

The quiet lounge is a great room to snuggle up and watch a cartoon or read a book, and enjoy some peace away from the main living area.

Narnia Garden - Teasing the senses and playing with the imagination children are transported through a wardrobe door to Narnia, a multi-sensory garden inspired by the book 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' by C.S.Lewis. It is designed to interact on many levels and provides a number of corners to sit and muse on life. The clover leaf shaped path of many textures curves through winter with white, grey, blue and mauve planting and hard landscaping. Winds and thunder assure you are trapped in the frosty bite of the Snow Queens wicked grasp. A blue gong is tuned to a wintry tune and an outsized empty throne makes you wonder where she is hiding, maybe up in the glass castle? A shower of rain drenches anyone who dares to pass into spring. Here the reds and oranges tell a different tale. Aslan sits roaring and purring contentedly in the sun. The sound of a distant sky lark promises a blissful return to summer days. At night families make excited expeditions all wrapped up before going to bed to see it illuminated in many colours.
