Thank you for visiting this page which we have set up for people who were considering giving Thomas a gift for his christening. Rather than being given presents, we would like to use this opportunity to raise some money for a good cause and would ask you to donate to the charity, Daisy Chain that supports children’s hospices in the South West.

The charity has been set up by some good friends of ours from Plymouth, Chris and Sophie, who lost their little daughter to a rare genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Daisy Elizabeth died at just 16 weeks in November last year. The children's hospice offered Chris, Sophie and Daisy lots of love and support in Daisy's happy and short life.

Thomas and Daisy were born within a couple of months of each other and we really would have liked them to be friends. We think that supporting this charity is a really good way of marking Thomas’ christening. Sophie, Chris and Daisy have been in our thoughts and prayers for some time now and this feels like a more tangible way of offering our support.

We are sure there will be plenty of other opportunities for Thomas to be given lots of presents! We will be asking Chris and Sophie to write on Daisy Chain’s behalf to Thomas after his christening so he has something to remember the day by and can have this explained to him when he is older.
